Basic Responsibilities A. Supervise clinical services provided by graduate students
B. Provide feedback to graduate students re: clinical skills
C. Manage day-to-day clinical services provided to clients
D. Facilitate off-campus clinical placements
Essential Duties

A. Supervise clinical services
1. Supervise assessments and interventions across the life span and disorders
2. Comply with CFCC requirements for percentage of supervision
3. Engage in evidence-based supervision practices

B. Provide feedback to graduate students
1. Provide guidance in planning of assessments and intervention programs
2. Provide verbal and/or written feedback re: clinical skills
3. Provide feedback and facilitate increased competency in clinical report writing

C. Manage day-to-day clinical services provided to clients
1. Comply with Center policies and procedures for patient care and documentation.
2. Communicate with graduate students and clinic director regarding issues identified in service provision, case load, attendance, and compliance with Center policies and procedures.
3. Approve hours in CALIPSO for students supervised

D. Facilitate off-campus clinical placements
1. Assist with off-campus clinical placement assignments
2. Communicate with off-campus clinical supervisors re: student performance
3. Communicate with students re: expectations of off-campus supervisors
4. Address problems and make corrections in CALIPSO as needed

Professional Development Requirements

A. Skills
1. Maintain clinical competency in diagnosis and intervention of a variety of communication disorders.
2. Maintain interpersonal communication skills.

B. Training Modules Required
1. Orientation to policies and procedures for the Center for Speech and Language Disorders at ACU.
2. Orientation to CALIPSO as clinical supervisor and administrator


A. Professional
1. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
2. Current Texas License in Speech-Language Pathology

B. Personal
1. Basic computer competency (Microsoft Office, internet browser, email, etc.)
2. Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Physical Demands A. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
B. Must be able to sit in low chairs or on the floor with students/clients as needed
C. Must be able to walk across campus on occasion
