Position Information

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Instructor and Clinical Coordinator for the 2019 & 2020 academic year for our location at ACU-Dallas.

This role includes both administrative and teaching responsibilities. Primary responsibilities will be the administrative function of graduate student practicum, including the coordination of external clinical sites, supervision of students enrolled in clinical practicum, and conducting site visits to students at clinical sites. Teaching responsibilities include preparing for and facilitating weekly class meetings for the clinical practicum course.

Effective communication, attention to details, collaboration with other ACU faculty, and collegiality with clinical sites are essential skills for this role. A passion for graduate students and the ability to hold paramount the best interest of the students is essential.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of a master's degree in speech-language pathology; hold a current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP); hold (or be eligible for) a current Texas SLP license, and have a minimum of four years of professional clinical experience and significant supervisory experience
