Title of Position Athletics Video Coordinator

Basic Responsibilities A. Create graphic and video content for website, social media and in venue video displays.
B. Coordinate all A/V needs for Athletics department, including but not limited to press conferences, coaches shows, media days, banquets, and special events.
C. Serve as a key member of the external operations staff, involved directly with marketing, media relations and fan experience.
D. Assist in the production of home event broadcasts on ESPN+ and other platforms.
Essential Duties A. Plan, conceptualize, film and edit creative video content for daily marketing of athletics programs and events.
B. Regularly produce graphic and video content for in venue video displays: video boards, ribbon boards, display screens, etc.
C. Produce pre game and post game highlight videos for website and social media.
D. Assist with the preparation and production of home events for web based broadcasts.
Professional Development Requirements

A. Skills
1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in broadcast communications, multimedia, journalism, graphic design, communications or sports administration
2. Outstanding writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Project management and teamwork skills
4. Previous experience working with video content creation and web streaming. Experience in athletics is preferred.
5. Photography & Videography experience.
6. Knowledge of DSLR cameras, Black magic, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Adobe Media Encoder, XPression CG and Graphics, Click Effects, GIF and motion graphic creation.

B. Training Modules Required
1. Continuous improvement of project management/time management skills
2. Video and graphic editing and creation software
3. Annual writing/creative training, writing/PR/media sports relations conferences
4. Web publishing

Qualifications

A. Professional
1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in broadcast communications, multimedia, journalism, graphic design, communications or sports administration
2. At least 1 year of similar experience
3. Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality of work.

3. Ability to work and interact well with coaches, staff, student athletes, administration, media and other external audiences
4. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

7. Organizational skills/ability to balance multiple projects and tight deadlines
8. Some Travel necessary
9. Ability to handle pressure

Physical Demands A. Able to endure extended periods of sitting and typing at computer terminal
B. Able to reach and climb to reach files
C. Extended periods of walking and climbing stairs
D. Able to communicate with various audiences on the phone, in person and via computer
E. Able to lift heavy boxes
F. Able to lift chairs and tables and equipment necessary to arrange for press conferences and other events.
G. Able to drive to athletic event locations
H. Able to represent ACU at conferences
I. Irregular work hours/long days, week-night hours and weekends.
J. Some travel, i.e. same-day, 1-2 day, week long, etc trips.
K. Exposed to extreme weather conditions
