Basic Responsibilities A. Organize daily administrative testing activity
B. Serve as reception for University Testing and Alpha Scholars
C. Coordinate disability testing accommodations for qualified students
D. Retain student records by recording services received and documentation of problematic situations
E. Serve as liaison between student/faculty/campus issues
F. Collaborate with the ADA Compliance Officer to work with Alpha Scholars students
G. Maintain a professional working relationship with University faculty and professional staff
H. Supervise student employees
I. Assist with New Student Orientation testing activities
J. Provide confidential and safe testing environment
K. Assist with the development and provision of staff and faculty training related to issues of testing, accommodations, special populations, ADA compliance, and students with disabilities
L. Oversee the ordering and maintenance of office supplies and spaces
Essential Duties

A. Organize daily administrative testing activity
1. Communicate with professors and instructors to secure exams for all scheduled accommodated tests
2. Administer and proctor all academic accommodated exams
3. Oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of procedures and protocols for the testing center
4. Record all relevant test scores into Banner
5. Work closely with academic advising staff and academic department chairs regarding testing policies and procedures

B. Serve as reception for university testing and Alpha Scholars
1. Greet guests and visitors
2. Answer and route phone calls/messages
3. Respond to general student inquiries
4. Maintain databases, scan student documentation, file appropriately

C. Coordinate disability testing accommodations for qualified students
1. Oversee and implement testing accommodations
2. Work closely with faculty to secure exams and clear and concise testing instructions
3. Assist qualified students with all concerns/issues regarding testing and scheduling
4. Schedule testing accommodations for each student based on his/her specific academic needs
5. Guarantee a confidential return of all exams and testing materials to faculty

D. Retain student records by recording services received and documentation of problematic situations
1. Keep records of various services received by students, i.e., testing, readers, scribes, and private rooms
2. Report accommodation statistics to ADA Compliance Officer or UAP Director each semester

E. Serve as liaison between student/faculty/campus issues
1. Assist students and faculty in developing and implementing strategies resolving student issues
2. Deep understanding of ACU policies, systems, and processes to help students navigate issues
3. Serve as an informational resource for academic concerns
4. Develop a positive rapport with students, staff, and faculty to effectively address student matters

F. Collaborate with the ADA Compliance Officer
1. Provide information to ADA Compliance Officer regarding student needs or unidentified disabilities
2. Research and provide information regarding helpful technology or assistive devices related to testing
3. Provide test procedure and test scheduling training to students with academic accommodations
4. Maintain contact with a limited number of students (assigned) based on student need for contact

G. Maintain a professional working relationship with University faculty and professional staff
1. Develop relationships with faculty to better assist student success through academic accommodations
2. Attend departmental meetings or make presentations regarding the services provided by the testing center
3. Answer questions presented by faculty or department chairs regarding testing procedures and protocols
4. Address academic integrity violations with faculty, department heads and the UAP Director

H. Supervise student employees
1. Hire qualified students to work with accommodated testing
2. Train students to perform duties associated with accommodated testing
3. Schedule student employees as necessary to cover work flow

I. Assist with New Student Orientation testing activities
1. Work closely with the University Testing Coordinator to provide staffing
2. Provide support in scheduling testing for incoming students
3. Assist in the data input process entering test scores and student fees
4. Work additional weekend/evening hours

J. Provide confidential and safe testing environment
1. Responsible for exam security
2. Ensure all testers are provided a testing atmosphere conducive to student success
3. Provide a safe environment for all testers
4. Remain confidential regarding all areas of testing

K. Assist with the development and provision of staff and faculty training related to issues of testing, accommodations, special populations, ADA compliance, and students with disabilities
1. Work with UAP staff to develop university-wide training for various constituents
2. In conjunction with ADA Compliance Officer, ensure robust communication about UAP services around campus and between UAP and other offices

L. Oversee the ordering and maintenance of office supplies and spaces
1. Responsible for ordering offices supplies for UAP (not TRIO programs)
2. Maintain office suite, flow/function, beverages, supplies, and testing materials
3. Occasional assistance with on-campus room reservations

Qualifications

A. Professional
1. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
2. Work with diverse populations
3. Supervisory and scheduling experience
4. Project development experience
5. Administrative and teaching experience is preferred
6. Previous experience in an academic environment
