Basic Responsibilities 1. Form students and teams to fulfill their missional vocation
2. Administer the short-term mission trip program at ACU
Essential Duties

1. Assist in designing and administering the ACU short-term missions
program, specifically Global Service Trips
2. Coordinate with programs and departments across campus to create
and manage specific short-term mission trips
3. Assist in creating and facilitating training processes for short-term
mission trips leaders and participants
4. Supervise student worker(s)
5. Monitor short-term mission trip participants’ adherence to the relevant
ACU policies (International Travel Policy, Missions Policy, Incident
Management Policy, etc.)
6. Coordinate with appropriate ACU entities regarding safety and
security protocols and policies
7. Communicate effectively with trip leaders and students about trip
plans, information and status
8. Assist in short-term missions trip budget management, including
creating trip budgets
9. Seek ways to make management of Global Service Trips more
effective and efficient
10. Generate progress and summary reports for short-term missions trips

11. Report and communicate regarding status of short-term mission trips
12. Evaluate and continually increase the effectiveness of short-term
mission trips, where necessary
13. Travel occasionally (both domestically and internationally)
14. Attend and possibly speak at various campus chapels/devotionals
15. Participate in events planning, coordinating and running Halbert
Center events
16. Occasionally lead or participate in Global Service Trips
17. Serve in mentoring/discipling role with students as opportunities are

1. Able to type, manage online office tools and other software programs as
2. Strong facility with technology and social networking vehicles
3. Able to sit for long hours and work on computer
4. Healthy enough to travel as needed
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Highly detail oriented and organized
7. Able to effectively handle multiple projects at once
8. Takes initiative
9. Able to speak in public/address audiences
10. Able to be available 24/7 on occasion when trips are in progress, as needed
11. Available to work outside normal office hours on occasion, as needed
Training Modules Required
1. Ongoing mentoring/coaching professional development
2. Ongoing recruiting professional development
3. Missions conferences, webinars and best practice events, as required

A. Professional
1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
2. Experience and competence in managing programs
3. Track record of developing and sustaining partnerships
4. Track record of participation in and/or advocacy of missions (does not
need long-term missions experience)
5. Prefer 2-4 years of work experience

B. Personal
1. Strong Christian character
2. High degree of organization
3. Strong interpersonal and connectivity skills
4. High degree of reliability
5. Ability to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally

Physical Demands A. Able to lift a small amount of weight
B. Able to drive an automobile or van
