Basic Responsibilities A. Attends local, regional, and national events to promote ACU and generate interest in
University programs
B. Builds and nurtures relationships with organizations that organize and manage career,
education, and benefits fairs
C. Plans, organizes, and executes local promotional events to generate interest in ACU
programs and drive foot traffic to the ACU-Dallas
D. Conducts engaging informational presentations externally
E. Analyzes ROI from events and reports results to Associate Vice President of Enrollment
and Director of Enrollment
F. Perpetually seeks to eliminate historically weak activities, and identify new opportunities
for enrollment growth
G. Works closely with the Admissions team to constantly improve the quality of prospective
students and enrollment conversion

Professional Development Requirements

A. Skills
● Possess some knowledge of the higher education market and industry
● Must be student and advisor oriented and have the ability to perform multiple
tasks efficiently and effectively
● Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and
effectively
● Customer service or advising experience in an educational environment entailing
one on one interaction is preferred
● Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively in a team environment
● Computer literate and able to learn proprietary software applications

B. Training Modules Required
● New Advisor Training
● Technology Tools Training (including CRM system)
● Others as development needs dictate

Qualifications

A. Professional
● Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
● Demonstrable experience from successfully working in a team environment
● Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
B. Personal

● Collaborative nature
● Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
● Desire for meaningful work and mission orientation
● Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills

Physical Demands ● Work is performed in an office environment; must have the ability to sit for long
periods of time (6-8 hours).
● Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and able to perform work
at a computer in a cubicle.
● May be required to the manual operation of general office equipment.
● Limited travel may be required – locations vary and some overnight travel may be
necessary.
