Basic Responsibilities
    1. Develops annual and long-term strategies for the campus technology roadmap.
    2. Manage the agile development process for campus technology projects
    3. Manages internal assets with a focus on eliminating any security risks.  
Essential Duties
  1. Develops annual and long-term strategies for the technical roadmap with a focus on supporting the campus goals and initiatives.
  2. Manage the agile development process for campus technology projects.
  3. Manages IT team and any vendor relationships.
  4. Manage internal assets with a focus on eliminating any security risks. 
  5. Collaborates with Abilene Campus IT across technology projects that include ACU assets. 
Professional Development Requirements
    1. Skills
      1. Strong organizational and management skills in order to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
      2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
      3. Programming experience in languages such as Java, PHP, Groovy, .NET Framework, C#, Objective-C, Python, and PL/SQL.
      4. Programming experience using a database management system such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
      5. Familiarity with tools such as Git and Maven.
      6. Knowledge of client and server operating systems like Windows, Linux, and MacOS.
      7. Experience in CRM Administration (preferably Salesforce).
    2. Training Modules Required
      1. Ongoing CPE
      2. Networking within online higher education

Qualifications

III. Professional

  1. Bachelor's degree in related discipline required: Master's degree preferred
  2. Minimum of five years experience in technology, preferably within higher education
  3. Experience should include CRM Administration (preferably Salesforce) and Application Support. 
  4. Knowledge of the higher education market and industry, with special emphasis in online learning.
  5. Proven ability to work independently and lead multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  6. Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to accurately convey University information as described above
  7. Must have an excellent command of professional presentation skills and be comfortable presenting to groups both large and small
  8. Must be self-motivated and be able to work and lead effectively in a team environment
  9. Computer literate and able to learn proprietary software applications

Physical Demands
  1. Work is performed in an office environment; must have the ability to sit for long periods of time (4-6 hours)
  2. Limited travel may be required – locations vary and some overnight travel may be necessary.
