Essential Duties
  1. Facilitate Information Technology

1.   Actively engage with NEXT researchers and leadership to identify, evaluate and manage all aspects of information technology.

 

  1. Strategic Planning for IT and Security
    1. Support and manage all cybersecurity needs for NEXT and the NEXT Research Alliance including interfacing with ACU IT.
  2. Support NEXT IT and DAQ needs
Support R&D in the lab by supporting data acquisition hardware and software.
Professional Development Requirements
  1. Skills 
  1. Quick learner of new and custom IT systems
  1. Training Modules Required

  1. Smartsheet certification preferred
Qualifications
  1. Professional

  1. Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university preferred.
  2. Experience with IT systems required.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems including hardware and software.
  4. Understanding of cybersecurity concerns, standards, and solutions.
  5. Preference for a candidate with experience with all aspects of the positions including R&D data acquisition systems, commercial software packages, and programing abilities.
  6. Preference for a candidate with experience with AutoCAD, Vault, Smartsheet, and MIDAS.
  7. Preference for a candidate with cybersecurity management experience.

Clear and concise verbal and written communication

Physical Demands
  1. Office work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  2. Ascending and descending stairs to attend meetings.
