Faculty Position Information

Abilene Christian University is seeking an outgoing individual with strong mentoring and organization skills for a full time 11 month non-tenured position as Capstone Coordinator for the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program in the College of Education and Human Services. Position will be filled at either the assistant or associate rank dependent on credentials. Job responsibilities specifically include the occupational therapy program’s compliance with the doctoral capstone requirements of the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, as well as teaching, scholarly work and participation in university and School service as is relevant to that role.

The Department of Occupational Therapy currently offers an entry level Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree and is seeking candidacy to also provide entry-level doctorate education beginning the Fall 2021 semester. Applicants should be prepared to work within both programs. These are residential programs with a small online component. Class size is 45 for the MSOT with an anticipated enrollment of 15 for the OTD. Abilene Christian University is a Christ centered institution and fit with the University mission is essential. Qualifications

Applicant must hold or be in the process for a doctorate in occupational therapy or related field with a firm graduation anticipation date by 2022 and be eligible for license as an occupational therapist in the state of Texas.
