Basic Responsibilities The Business Analyst is responsible for providing ACU Dallas with quality software
development advice, analysis and project management. This is achieved through the
effective capture and translation of business requirements into technical design
documentation and the coordination of the software development lifecycle.

Professional Development Requirements

1. Knowledgeable in the use of UML, BPM, and Use Cases.
2. Experience and strong aptitude with word processing, spreadsheet, email,
database, and file management technologies.
3. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities and tasks.
4. Ability to communicate well both in written and oral form. This includes
excellent spelling, grammar, and editing skills.
5. Ability to pay close attention to detail.

6. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
7. Ability to communicate in a courteous, professional, and cooperative manner with
staff and students, and to maintain patience and understanding in stressful
situations.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both
College and external contacts.
9. Ability to research and resolve complex problems.
10. Ability to write and maintain accurate documents; organize and update files.
11. Must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications A. Professional
1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. Ability to travel, must possess a valid driver's license.
3. Able to work flexible hours conducive to contacting faculty and staff when
available.
Physical Demands A. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and able to perform work at a
computer in a cubicle. Work is performed in an office environment; must have the
ability to sit for long periods of time – 6 - 8 hours.
B. May be required to perform manual operation of general office equipment and lift up
to 30 pounds.
C. Limited travel may be required – locations vary and some overnight travel may be
necessary.
