Job Qualifications

Any experience (or interest in) running sound for churches, theater-type venues, or live events. Applicants must be courteous, professional, and punctual. They must maintain exceptional communication and customer service skills. Applicants must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. This position will be active during both semesters and summer vacation. Provided training is expected upon hiring.


Position Description/Job Duties

Sound Techs are responsible for providing live audio and video services in different venues throughout campus. Techs arrive early to set up microphones and related equipment, perform equipment checks, and troubleshoot any issues prior to the start of events. Sound techs are also responsible for ensuring that all equipment is returned to and stored in its proper place.

Preferred Availability

Occasional nights and weekends
Non-Covid schedule:
Monday-Fridays: 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. for Chapel
Mondays: 9-11 a.m., 12-2 p.m. for Cornerstone (Fall only)
Wednesdays: 2-4 p.m. for Cornerstone rehearsal (Fall only)
Other events will take place at different dates and times such as Ethnos, Summit, Freshman Follies, Athletics Chapel, etc.
