Basic Responsibilities

Essential Duties  
  1. Strategic Leadership

    1. Develop and articulate a visionary strategy for the College, aligning with the university's mission and goals.

    2. Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance the academic quality and reputation of the College of Business Administration.

    3. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to Christian values.

  2. Academic Oversight

    1. Provide leadership in curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation processes within the College.

    2. Collaborate with faculty to enhance existing academic programs and explore opportunities for new academic offerings.

    3. Support faculty in their professional development, research endeavors, and engagement with the business community.

  3. Student Success and Spiritual Formation

    1. Champion initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success within the College.

    2. Integrate Christian values into business education, promoting an environment that fosters ethical leadership and social responsibility.

    3. Collaborate with other university leaders and faculty to provide a holistic and enriching educational experience for students.

    4. Implement mentoring programs to guide students in their academic and personal growth.

    5. Cooperate with University partners in marketing, recruitment, and advising

  4. Community Engagement and Fundraising

    1. Cultivate relationships with business leaders, alumni, and industry partners to enhance the College's impact and visibility.

    2. Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure resources for the College's initiatives.

    3. Engage with donors and stakeholders to build a strong network of support for the College.

  5. Resource Management

    1. Manage the fiscal and human resources of the College effectively and efficiently.

    2. Work collaboratively with university administration to secure external funding and support for the College's initiatives.

Professional Development Requirements  
  1. Skills

    1. Proficiency in office software including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe, etc.

    2. Strong abilities in oral and written communication.

  2. Training Required

    1. Adobe Sign and Docusign (electronic forms)

    2. Anaplan (budget software)

    3. Banner (enterprise software)

    4. Concur (travel and expense management)

    5. Compass (student engagement software)

    6. Ongoing professional development internally and externally to the university

Qualifications  
  1. A terminal degree in a relevant business discipline.

  2. Proven leadership experience, higher education administration experience preferred but not required.

  3. Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and the integration of faith into business education.

  4. Strong record of scholarly achievement and excellence in teaching.

  5. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.

  6. Commitment to diversity.

  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  8. ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position prefers the employee to be a professing Christian and be an active, faithful member of a congregation of the Churches of Christ.

  1. High energy level, ability to maintain several activities at one time.

  2. Ability to manage stress and be an independent problem solver.

  4. Working extended hours as needed.

Additional Information

The position is open until filled and applications received by February 20, 2024, are assured full consideration. The successful applicant will be expected to begin their service on July 1, 2024.
