Basic Responsibilities A. Assist with video operations and production
B. Help lead teams of students and staff to oversee all production events
C. Maintain facilities and equipment
D. Formulate an annual equipment plan
E. Work with clients and campus partners
Essential Duties

A. Assist other ACUTV staff members and faculty to plan, coordinate and execute events
● Assist with weekly video production activities in and out of the TV studio
according to departmental needs (i.e. The Optimist Newscast, Gutenberg, etc)
● Anticipate and fulfill conceptual and project needs
B. Oversee student work
● Assist with evaluation and scheduling of students for production events
● Provide equipment and technology training for all students on staff

● Assume responsibility for performance of the production team of students during
events.

C. Maintain facilities and equipment
● Communicate with engineering staff, contractors and ACU IT to order supplies or
request maintenance as needed.
● Ensure equipment is secure, workflow is efficient, procedures are safe and the
workspace is presentable for department and university tours.
● Research new technology and production techniques.
D. Work with clients and campus partners
● Develop strong interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
● Maintain satisfactory customer service throughout client contact and overall
project delivery.

Professional Development Requirements A. Skills
● Broadcast engineering experience
● Troubleshooting skills
● Live multi camera studio directing experience
● Technical knowledge of cameras and studio operations
● Office productivity: Google Apps, Mac and Windows experience
B. Training Modules Required
● Experience with SMPTE cables
● Graphics systems: Xpression or Chyron
● Switcher and network router training
● Wrapping and storing cables
● Working knowledge of audio boards
C. Gameday Expectations
● Required to attend or staff all games on ESPN+
● Develop a setup plan for all events
● Troubleshoot issues during all games
Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required (Candidates
with a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication may have the
opportunity to teach courses as an adjunct instructor in the JMC department.)
2. Minimum two-years experience in live multi camera video production required
3. Supervisory experience preferred

1. Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
2. Ability to work independently and set priorities under pressure
3. Willing to work evenings and weekends
Physical Demands
1. Carrying boxes or equipment not to exceed 40lbs
2. Climbing stairs and ladders
