Basic Responsibilities

A. Oversee implementation of all co-curricular programming for students

B. Assist in alumni relations efforts 

C. Manage budget activities and Griggs Center facilities 

D. Perform and coordinate other administrative tasks

Essential Duties

A. Oversee implementation of all co-curricular programs for students 

1. Assist in strategic planning of all co-curricular programming 

2. Lead planning and execution of all student events and competitions hosted by the Griggs Center 

3. Manage all internal communication efforts for current entrepreneurship students.

4. Track student engagement across all curricular and co-curricular programs.

5. Supervise student leaders serving in paid, scholarship and volunteer positions 

B. Assist in alumni relations efforts 

1. Assist in recruiting alumni and other stakeholders to participate as judges, speakers and/or mentors in the center’s various programs. 

2. Assist in planning and execution of any alumni events hosted by the center.

3. Track engagement of alumni and other stakeholders in all center activities

C. Manage budget activities and Griggs Center facilities. 

1. Monitor and coordinate expenses incurred by all center programs 

2. Prepare internal reports and participate in budget planning 

3. Manage all maintenance and necessary renovations for the Griggs Center, eHub, or other center facilities 

4. Coordinate use of the center facilities by all Griggs Center students and team members

 

D. Perform and coordinate other administrative tasks. 

1. Serve as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other departments and office in the College of Business Administration and across the university. 

2. Provide administrative support for the center’s director 

3. Lead data collection efforts to prepare internal and external reports on the center’s activities 

4. Handle other administrative problems and inquiries as appropriate.

1. Must be personable 

2. Able to manage and coordinate multiple large projects 

3. Ability to mentor and advise students. 

4. Maintain professionalism 

B. Training Modules Required 

1. Online budgeting and student information system (Banner) 

2. Computer software training as updates demand. 

Qualifications

A. Professional 

1. A bachelor’s degree is required 

2. Ability to organize strategic planning and budgeting procedures

3. Ability to interact with and promote center programs and activities to students and other stakeholders. 

B. Personal 

1. Strong interpersonal communication skills 

2. Ability to work and interact well with students 

3. Self-motivated, resourceful and creative 

Physical Demands

1. Able to stand for extended periods of time 

2. Able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time 

3. Able to sit in meetings for extended periods of time 

4. Travel to ACU Dallas on occasion 

5. Be available to work evenings and/or weekends on occasion in addition to regular office hours.
