About ACU

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All applicants must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of Abilene Christian University while employed by the university.
Title of Position Interlibrary Loan Student Worker
Department Brown Library
Hours per Week 10-20, depending on need and availability
Job Qualifications The student applicant should:

-Display strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Be disciplined, conscientious, and proactive
-Have the ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately
-Be able to use common computer programs and learn new software
Position Description/ Job Duties The student will assist the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator by doing any or all of the following:

-Finding and pulling books from the shelves
-Packing and sending books in the mail and sorting and unpacking incoming mail
-Scanning pages of books and articles
-Using computer software for processing loans
-Shelving and shelf reading (making sure books are located and ordered correctly)
-Other miscellaneous tasks in the library
Preferred Availability At least 10 hours per week Monday to Friday, beginning in the Fall 2024 semester.
