Faculty Position Information

This position will serve as a faculty member in the Dukes School of Finance, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in finance to residential and online students. The candidate will be responsible for integrating their teaching with the processes of the ACU Angel Network, creating impactful learning experiences for select students. College faculty members are also expected to engage in professional development, mentor students, and participate in departmental, college, and university service assignments. In this role, the candidate will report to the Director of the Dukes School of Finance.

Additionally, the position will oversee the operational management of an angel investor network for alumni and friends of the university. Key responsibilities include investor engagement, facilitating deal flow, coordinating due diligence, and managing post-investment support. In this capacity, the candidate will report to the Director of the Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy, who leads the network’s strategic direction and alumni engagement efforts.

Both the Dukes School of Finance and Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy are part of ACU’s College of Business Administration. Its mission is to educate business and technology professionals for Christian service and leadership throughout the world. With AACSB and ABET secondary accreditation, the college offers eight undergraduate majors and a Master of Accountancy on the Abilene campus and partners with ACU-Dallas to deliver two undergraduate and two graduate online programs. The college includes four academic units (Accounting Department; Dukes School of Finance; Management Sciences Department; School of Information Technology and Computing) and two centers (Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy; Lytle Center for Faith and Leadership).

Qualifications Minimum of Master’s degree in finance-related field, along with at least 5-10 years of significant relevant practitioner experience. A strong commitment to ongoing professional development, as well as proven college/university teaching experience, or demonstration of strong potential for excellence in teaching is expected.
