Undergraduate Registration Operations Manager

Basic Responsibilities ● Predict faculty needs and course sections for undergraduate courses.
● Manage communication with program directors and other stakeholders regarding course carousels and processing of student records documentation (e.g., academic exceptions, withdrawals, etc.).
● Oversee scheduling and registration for students.
● Lead team meetings and new projects for operational efficiency.
● Collaborate with graduate departments as needed.
● Carries case load for special populations as needed.
Essential Duties

● Team Leadership and Supervision:
○ Lead and manage a team of frontline staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
○ Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to achieve departmental goals.

● Collaboration with Stakeholders:
○ Work closely with enrollment managers to align operational processes with recruitment and retention goals.
○ Partner with academic program directors to ensure course availability and scheduling align with program requirements and student needs.

● Operational Efficiency:
○ Develop and implement strategies to maximize the efficiency of course carousels and educational journey planning.
○ Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal resource utilization.

● Process Improvement:
○ Identify and implement process improvements to streamline registration operations.
○ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for registration logistics.

● Data Management and Reporting:
○ Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of registration data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
○ Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all registration operations-related systems and processes.

● Student Support:
○ Ensure a high level of student support and satisfaction throughout the registration process.
○ Address and resolve complex enrollment issues in a timely and effective manner.

Professional Development Requirements  

Skills:
○ Proficiency with technology systems (e.g., Banner, Salesforce, Canvas), database reporting software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
○ Demonstrable experience in a team environment.
○ Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, attention to detail, and communication skills.
○ Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.

Training Required:
○ Ellucian Banner (DegreeWorks & COGNOS),
○ Salesforce,
○ Canvas,
○ PowerBI,
○ Adobe eSign, and
○ Google Suite.

Qualifications  

Professional
○ Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
○ Five years of administrative experience is required.
○ Experience in a university student records, registrar, or admissions office preferred.

Personal
○ Collaborative nature.
○ Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
○ Desire for meaningful work and mission orientation.
○ Commitment to supporting the Christian mission of ACU.

Physical Demands ● Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time (6-8 hours).
● Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and able to perform work at a computer
● May be required to the manual operation of general office equipment.
● Limited travel may be required – locations vary and some overnight travel may be necessary.
