Title of Position Student Success Manager - Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry & Center for Pre Health Professions

Basic Responsibilities A. Recruit new students and retain first-year pre-health professions students and students majoring in Biology and Chemistry and Biochemistry programs.
B. Attend and/or coordinate special recruiting events on and off campus, including weekends when necessary, and as assigned by Enrollment.
C. Support the Enrollment Services Team
D. Collaborate with Executive and Assistant Directors of CPHP and department chairs to share the current messaging of the programs with prospective audiences.
E. Provide mentorship and promote student success for the first-year experience for students considering pre-health professions.
F. Oversee student ambassadors for recruiting
Essential Duties

A. Recruit new students and retain first-year pre-health professions students and students majoring in Biology and Chemistry and Biochemistry programs.
1. Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly goals for applicants, admits and confirmed students.
2. Achieve first-year retention goals

B. Attend and/or coordinate special recruiting events on and off campus, including weekends when necessary, and as assigned by Enrollment.
1. Admitted Student Visit Days
2. Presidential Scholar Visit Days
3. Wildcat Preview Days
4. New Student Orientations
5. Evening with ACU
6. Admitted Student Receptions
7. School visits (if applicable)

C. Support the Enrollment Services Team
1. Expected activities include but are not limited to: attending admissionsevents, visiting with prospective families, conducting campus tours, recruiting outreach (phone calls, texts and notecards), and other duties as assigned by Enrollment.
2. Consistently achieve weekly prospective student contact and activity goals.

D. Collaborate with Executive and Assistant Directors of CPHP and department chairs to share the current messaging of the programs with prospective audiences.
1. Meet with CPHP leadership regularly to stay up to date on programs, professional school requirements, student stories and new initiatives.
2. Meet with department chairs and faculty about current programs, research areas, missional opportunities and other academic experiences to share with prospective students.
3. Coordinate and plan activities in collaboration with CPHP leaders and department chairs.
4. Post hours of availability at Halbert-Walling office.

E. Provide mentorship and promote student success for the first-year experience for students considering pre-health professions.
1. Develop programming for student success including first year community building activities.

F. Oversee student ambassadors for recruiting
1. Identify student volunteers representing all pre-health profession areas to share current student experience at recruiting events and visits
2. Seek student nominations from CPHP leaders and department chairs.

Professional Development Requirements

A. Required Skills:
1. Strong sales skills: must have the ability to differentiate ACU from the competition
2. Excellent communicator and strong presentation skills
3. Strong people skills with a clear understanding of how to provide excellent customer service.
4. Knowledge and experience with contact management systems and Windows Microsoft software.
5. Strong time management skills are needed to handle the multiple tasks required in successful territory management.

B. Training Modules Required:
1. Regular Recruiting Team Meetings to keep up to date on changing programs, recruiting strategies, sales methods
2. Professional growth seminars for Enrollment Management professionals.
3. SLATE customer relationship management system

Qualifications

A. Bachelor’s degree required
B. Experience with health fields preferred
C. High initiative, dependable, focused
D. Strong communication and presentation skills
E. Goal-oriented, high professionalism
F. Strong organizational skills

Technology Requirements: This position must have their own cell phone.

Physical Demands A. Strong voice to endure extended periods of communication
B. Ability to endure long periods of standing and walking
C. Ability to travel
D. Long days and possible weekends
E. Handle stress well (high volume and high speed demands
