Basic Responsibilities |
Reports to the Deputy Chief of Human Resources. This position is responsible for serving as the HR representative for Dallas-based employees. This position will also collaborate with the Vice President of Vocational Formation and Flourishing on employee engagement efforts. This position will administer and support several key HR service areas, including employee services, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will closely coordinate with the Deputy CHRO on ACU’s Class and Comp plan.

Essential Duties |
1) HR Employee Specialist for Dallas Campus a. Implement and maintain new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. b. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. c. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. d. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
2) Collaborate with the Vice President of Vocational Formation and Flourishing on employee engagement efforts a. Employee Relations & Compliance - Develop processes specific to Dallas for addressing employee relations issues, including grievance resolution and corrective actions. - Works through existing policies, recommends, and implements potential revisions and updates. - Develops and pursues new goals and objectives for improvement in areas of employee relations. b. Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, addressing any concerns, conflicts, or workplace issues with confidentiality and professionalism. c. Handles all onboarding, off boarding and transfer processes for ACU Dallas.
3) Support HR System Office a. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. b. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. c. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
4) Support Deputy CHRO in administering ACU’s Class & Comp Plan a. Assist with preparing and maintaining job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents. b. Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales. c. Prepares summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information. d. Evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials.
