Basic Responsibilities |
-Oversee institutional compliance by managing eligibility, scholarships, recruiting, playing season documentation, and maintaining accurate student-athlete compliance records and data systems. -Prepare and submit required reports to the NCAA, Conference, and institutional stakeholders to ensure transparency and adherence to regulations. -Train new staff and coaches on compliance rules and procedures, and serve as a liaison between the Athletic Department and key campus partners to support effective administration.

Essential Duties |
1. Compliance Oversight and Data Management -Serve as the primary liaison to the NCAA and Conference for compliance matters and submissions, including waivers and self-reported violations. -Monitor and evaluate initial and continuing eligibility, progress-toward-degree, transfer, and graduation data in collaboration with the Registrar’s Office and Admissions, including transcript evaluations and NCAA Eligibility Center processing. -Oversee and document the distribution and monitoring of athletic scholarships (e.g., tuition, fees, Alston, international insurance/taxes) in conjunction with the Financial Aid Office. -Track, document, and monitor recruiting activities (e.g., campus visits, travel requests, off-campus contacts, evaluations, camps/clinics, and local sports clubs) and playing seasons (e.g., segment dates, practice logs, competition schedules, participation records). -Maintain and update comprehensive compliance records and student services data using platforms such as Teamworks, CAi, Banner, and Slate. -Document and manage transfer and graduation data using tools such as APR Tracers and the NCAA Transfer Portal. -Manage complimentary ticket pass lists for coaches, student-athletes, and prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCAA regulations. -Educate coaches, staff, student-athletes, and boosters on NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules, policies, and expectations.
2. Reporting and Administrative Responsibilities -Submit required reports to the NCAA and Conference, including APR, GSR, Sport Sponsorship, eligibility checklists, squad lists, and other reports as requested. -Serve as the compliance liaison to institutional departments such as the Registrar, Financial Aid, Housing, Admissions, International Office, faculty, and academic advisors. -Provide training and onboarding to new coaches and staff on NCAA rules, institutional policies, and student services procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Oversee staff in the Compliance Office. Assist with workers for special events (NCAA/Conference events).
CONTACTS: -Primary contacts are the VP for Athletics, Deputy AD/COO, coaches, and staff. Other contacts are the Registrar and Registrar Liaison, Financial Aid, Housing, Admissions, International Office, faculty, advisors, Conference, and NCAA membership services. Contact with other colleges and universities as required.

Qualifications |
ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian who is willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.
Professional -Master’s degree required. -Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations -NCAA Compliance experience required (4-6 years)
Personal -Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable. -Accurate and detail-oriented. -Strong work ethic and organizational skills. -Ability to interact well with a diverse population, including: coaches, faculty, staff, current and prospective students, administration, alumni, and boosters. -Strong Christian beliefs and participation in a local church.
