NEXT Lab Senior Mechanical Engineer Abilene
As a NEXT Lab Senior Mechanical Engineer you will advance technologies in support of a new generation of molten salt-cooled nuclear reactors. An ideal candidate will have experience working with high temperature molten salt systems, or experience in high temperature, corrosion resistant piping, valving, pumps, flanging, and cover gas systems in industrial process settings. Experience in design, testing, manufacturing and assembly will also be beneficial. Exposure to basic machine-shop tools and safety protocols, and design documentation will be assumed of successful applicants. NEXT Lab engineers are also expected to work with ACU faculty, staff and students to advance lab goals. This can include student supervision and mentoring, and interfacing faculty in engineering, physics, and chemistry disciplines. The lab is a research and development setting, so ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a university setting.
Clinical Teaching Assistant Abilene
CTAs shall work with the Clinical Simulation Faculty to plan, implement and evaluate learning experiences in the Simulation Lab.
NEXT Lab Scientist/Engineer Abilene
We are searching for someone interested in advancing the goals of the NEXT Lab as we move toward a new generation of molten salt reactors. A well qualified individual for this position will be able to work with faculty, staff, and students to help coordinate efforts. In conjunction with faculty, they will be able to supervise undergraduate student workers including both on-task mentoring and administrative supervision. The qualified person will have experience working in a research lab or R&D setting, and ideally would have experience working with materials at high temperatures possibly even molten salt. Experience with machine shop tools is also desired. This person must be willing to both follow and enforce safety protocols and documentation requirements for both students and faculty in the group.
