About ACU

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All applicants must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of Abilene Christian University while employed by the university.

Title of Position ACU Missions Student Employee (SE)
Department Halbert Center for Missions and Global Service
Hours per Week 10-12 (possibly more if desired by SE)
Job Qualifications
  • Enrolled full-time at ACU
  • Team player, collaborative
  • Follows directions, works independently, reliable, organized, pays exceptional attention to detail
  • Flexible to balance multiple tasks and interruptions while meeting deadlines with composure
  • Handles confidential information with good judgment
  • Neat, professional appearance
  • Takes initiative to communicate well with team and supervisor
  • Proficient in standard office software (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets; Microsoft Word, Excel; etc.) and Canvas
  • Can lift 30 lbs.
Position Description/ Job Duties Administrative support for Halbert Center programs and events (i.e., Global Service Trips, Worldwide Witness, Wildcat Academics on Mission, Missions Week)

Duties include, but are not limited to:
-General administrative work
-Creation of various types of Google docs/sheets
-Canvas administrative tasks
-Data entry
-Research of data in Halbert Center and other school systems
-Processing of financial paperwork
-Event setup, participation, and teardown
Preferred Availability
  • 10-12 hours a week
  • Typically Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
  • May work outside normal office hours on occasion
  • Position begins in March 2025
