Job Qualifications

* 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher (preferably higher in nursing courses)
* Senior level 1 and 2 students who have successfully competed all enrolled NURS courses
* Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
* Ability to work effectively with staff and students

 

Position Description/Job Duties

Tutor will work under supervision of Tutor Coordinator and :
- Work with students in a group tutoring setting
- Must accurately ducument all tutoring sessions according to tutoring standards
- Maintain communication with staff and students
- Attend training sessions
- Complete observations and evaluations
- Reach CRLA Level 1 certification within the first semester of employment
- Complete the Master Tutoring Handbook and journal entries (Pre-certification) before actual tutoring begins

Preferred Availability

Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings. Each tutoring session is approximately 2/4 hours depending on needs.
