Job Qualifications As a student videographer, you will be responsible for capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content to support various projects including social media. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students passionate about videography and marketing to gain hands-on experience, showcase their skills, and contribute to the visual storytelling of Abilene Christian University.
Position Description/ Job Duties
  • Video Production: Shoot, edit, and produce engaging and professional-quality video content for a variety of purposes, including promotional videos, interviews, events, green screen and social media reels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the university videographer to understand project goals and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall video strategy.
  • Equipment Management: Handle and maintain video equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition. This includes cameras, lighting equipment, microphones, and other relevant tools.
  • Post-Production: Edit and polish raw footage to create compelling videos. Add graphics, music, and other elements as needed. Ensure the final product meets quality standards and aligns with Abilene Christian University’s brand.
  • Stay Updated: Manage video production timelines and deliverables. Pay attention to social media trends and emerging techniques in videography. Apply this knowledge to enhance the quality and innovation of video projects.
Preferred Availability Work a minimum of 10 hours per week (Could fluctuate based on need) Able to work at evening and weekend events Semester position, with opportunity to extend
