ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. All applicants must be professing Christians and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of Abilene Christian University while employed by the university.

1. Basic Responsibilities:

A. Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutorial services to students

B. Maintain communication with Excel staff

C. Maintain all documentation required by the program

D. Be punctual and dependable

E. Develop skills

2. Essential Duties:

A. Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutorial services to students - Tutor students on an individual basis - Tutor by walk-in and/or appointment-based sessions - Tutor small groups as needed

B. Maintain communication with Excel staff - Respond in a timely manner to emails and/or texts - Report any scheduling conflicts to supervisors - Ask for help or ideas when needed - Come to meetings with Tutor Coordinator - Attend end of semester evaluations with Tutor Coordinator

C. Maintain all documentation required by the program - Fill out Tutor Log for each tutoring session - Hours worked - Professional development certification

D. Be punctual and dependable - Come to tutoring appointments on time - Complete tasks as assigned by staff members - Demonstrate responsibility - Maintain communication with tutees

E. Develop skills - Attend training sessions for tutoring - Reach CRLA Level 1 certification within the first semester of employment as a tutor through weekly trainings with Tutor Coordinator
