Entrepreneurship Scholarship Coordinator

Basic Responsibilities A. Assist in Recruiting Prospective Students
B. Oversee Scholarship Administration for Entrepreneurship Students
Essential Duties  

A. Assist in Recruiting Prospective Students

  1. Collaborate with the Admissions team to promote the entrepreneurship program and scholarships to prospective students.

  2. Lead sessions and meetings focused on entrepreneurship during on-campus events for prospective students.

  3. Serve as the primary Griggs Center contact for follow-up visits and questions from prospective students and families about the entrepreneurship program and scholarships.

B. Oversee Scholarship Administration for Entrepreneurship Students

  1. Manage the application process for all Griggs Center scholarships, including eligibility review, selection, and notifying recipients

  2. Facilitate the awarding and disbursement of scholarships in compliance with university policies and program guidelines

  3. Coordinate with Griggs Center team members to track scholarship recipients' engagement and progress toward meeting scholarship criteria

  4. Maintain detailed records of applications, awards and scholarship fund utilization

B.   Training Modules Required

1.   Online budgeting and student information system (Banner)

2.   Computer software training as updates demand.

Qualifications  A. Professional
  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, business, or a related field

  2. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines

  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for engaging with students and families

B. Personal

  1. Strong interpersonal communication skills

  2. Ability to work and interact well with students and parents

  3. Self-motivated, resourceful and creative

Physical Demands  
  1. Able to stand for extended periods of time

  2. Able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time

  3. Able to sit in meetings for extended periods of time

  4. Be available to work evenings and/or weekends on occasion in addition to regular office hours.
