The Center for Experiential Learning is hiring for 2 student positions to support the office:
Position #1: This position provides administrative support for Compass, specifically the Wellness Wheel initiative and its related approvals, maintenance, and promotion. This job will interact daily with Compass, and the various offices within Student Life, including supporting Student Organizations and the Wellness Wheel initiative. Collaboration, organization, and a willingness to promote holistic development through experiences in the badge are key to this position.
- Perform weekly maintenance for the Wellness Wheel initiative and Student Organizations within Suitable.
- Assist in administrative efforts to further the Wellness Wheel initiative, Student Life and Student Organization programs, and other Compass/Experiential Learning as available
- Assist in the planning and execution of Wellness Wheel, Student Life, Student Organization, and/or general Compass/Experiential Learning events.
- Assist in efforts to promote and enhance experiential learning throughout the campus, especially through and related to the Wellness Wheel initiative, Student Life events, and Student Organizations
Qualifications:
- Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office tools, email, web browser) and ability to learn and become proficient with new software such as Canva, Suitable, and Adobe Suite products or similar.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communicator
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Able to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Dependable
- Neat, professional appearance
- Event planning skills preferred
Position #2: This position provides administrative support for Experiential Learning, specifically to our Director of Internships and Vocational Formation. This support includes, but is not limited to:
- internship best practices, communications, data collection, and data reporting
- vocational formation communications, research, data collection, data reporting
- Compass assistance with roadmaps (both physical and on our website) and approvals
This job will interact daily with staff in Experiential Learning to promote various events, provide information to students, and more. Additionally, this position will engage with Compass from an administrative side, including pulling data, approving events, and creating events for Experiential Learning. Collaboration, creativity, organization, and communication are key to excelling this position.
Qualifications:
- Proficient with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office tools, email, web browser) and ability to learn and become proficient with new software such as Canva, Suitable, and 12Twenty.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize requests from various departments.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly written communication.
- Desire to assist staff with implementing the mission of Experiential Learning.
- Experience with Wordpress is preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful.
- Ability to take initiative and quickly pivot between tasks.
- Able to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Dependable.
- Neat, professional appearance.
