Basic Responsibilities  Oversee the creation and execution annual marketing plans for the intercollegiate athletics programs,focusing on increasing attendance with enhancing the game day experience.
 Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.
 Build relationships with campus partners in order to collaborate on home events with the focus of enhancing the student experience.
 Provide leadership and direction for marketing staff as assigned. This includes but not limited to: Marketing Assistant(s), Student Interns, and Student Volunteers.
Essential Duties

Oversee the creation and execution annual marketing plans for the intercollegiate athletics programs, focusing on increasing attendance with enhancing the game day experience.
 Serve as the primary marketing contact for Men’s Basketball, Tennis (M/W), Golf (M/W), Cross Country/Track and Field (M/W) and the secondary contact for Football and Baseball.
 Develop comprehensive marketing plans for all athletics programs by applying best practices to elevate the game day experience. This includes but not limited to: specific sport marketing plans, student section, and the Rally Cats Experiences Program.
 Oversee the execution of the game day production as it relates to the overall run of show for home events.
 Ensure the promotion of athletics events increases visibility of ACU on the campus and within the Abilene community.
 Work with Creative Services team to develop content for both internal and external audiences.
 Assisting with ticket operations on developing leads to generate ticket revenue.
 Collaborate with the Media Relations team to tell the story of ACU Athletics.

Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.
 Work with the General Manager of Abilene Sports Properties to develop in-game features and promotions that can be sold to corporate sponsors.
 Assist with the fulfillment and execution of sold sponsorship inventory at home events.
 Develop a plan to maximize all marketing trade and in-kind in order to enhance marketing efforts.
 Certify that all sold corporate sponsor inventory items are fulfilled.

Build relationships with campus partners in order to collaborate on home events with the focus of enhancing the student experience.
 Serve as a liaison to the campus community for the purpose of developing partnerships that will lead to enhancing the student experience at athletics events.
 Create and execute campus advertising plan to build awareness and maximize exposure of home athletics events.
 Leverage resources on campus to enhance marketing and promotion efforts towards students.
 Conduct research on best practices and implement new ideas to engage the student body leading to increased student attendance at home events.

Provide leadership and direction for marketing staff as assigned. This includes but not limited to: Marketing Assistant(s), Student Interns, and Student Volunteers.
 Recruit, train and supervise all marketing staff necessary to provide a high-quality game day experience.
 Delegate tasks among staff to guarantee annual plans are fully executed and events are running smoothly.
 Complete pre-event marketing previews, post-game summaries and marketing staff evaluations.
 Provide contest reports, season reports, and annual reports to the Senior Associate AD for Brand Development and Fan Experience.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 
 Bachelor’s Degree and interest in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
 Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in athletic marketing/fan experiences.
 Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, in order to create and present marketing plans, promotional materials, proposals and advertising.
 A high degree of self-motivation and organization as it relates to various tasks.
 Skill to establish and nurture strong relationships with students and members of the community.
 A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
 Ability to interpret and review manuals, game reports, marketing plans and proposals.
 Proficiency with MS Office and internet social networking sites.
 Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
 A basic understanding of college athletics at the NCAA Division I level.

Preferred Qualifications: 
 Strong Christian beliefs and values.
 Master’s Degree and interest in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
 Experience managing student staff.
 Knowledge in creating marketing collateral and/or concepts for an athletic department.
 Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical Demands  Ability to endure long hours and extended periods of time typing on a computer.
 Extended periods of walking and climbing stairs.
 Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
 Ability to lift tables and chairs to arrange events.
 Possible exposure to weather extremes.
