Faculty Position Information

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for an assistant professor position in statistics, actuarial science, or data science beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate is expected to be an effective teacher and mentor to mathematics students in an undergraduate environment, to be actively involved in shaping curriculum for a new statistics and data science degree, and to have a desire to pursue appropriate scholarship. The teaching load is typically 12 hours per semester.

Qualifications
An earned doctorate (or completion prior to August 2025) in statistics, data science, or mathematics is required.  Candidates possessing a master's degree in statistics, data science, actuarial science or mathematics with industry experience in these areas will also be considered.
