Job Qualifications Experience in backend programming using Java, C#, Python, and PHP. Experience in front-end programming using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript. Experience in web frameworks such as Spring Boot and .NET. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server administration. Experience in database administration and design for MySQL, MSSQL, NoSQL, and Oracle. Good knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X operating systems. Students should be reliable and hard-working with a measure of self-initiative (self-starting) when working alone. Problem-solving skills are necessary. The ideal applicants will have a strong understanding of the web development process, excellent programming skills, and the ability to work closely with analysts and programmers to recognize the shared vision and see it through from concept to completion.
Position Description/ Job Duties Student programmers work with our professional staff members to complete web programming projects, install web-based applications, test and debug applications, maintain documentation, user interface design, system administration, and database design. Training may be provided as part of the job.
Preferred Availability We prefer a schedule with large blocks of time, specifically three to four consecutive hours of available time, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. Our students begin work at the beginning of the Spring/Fall term and typically work a maximum of 20 hours a week.
