Basic Responsibilities A. Provide support in the day-to-day responsibilities for recruiting diverse talent for faculty and staff openings
B. Administer the onboarding process from offer acceptance through functional integration
C. Maintain performance management system
D. Coordinate the exiting process
Essential Duties

A. Provide support in the day-to-day responsibilities for recruiting diverse talent for faculty and staff openings
1. Communicate with and assist hiring managers with the hiring process
2. Actively recruit qualified diverse applicants for employment
3. Advise managers on how to advertise positions, select qualified applicants, and make suggestions for the interviewing process
4. Place advertisements, attend job fairs, and perform other related duties
5. Ensure recruiting software is working properly and meets the needs of hiring supervisors and Human Resources

B. Administer the onboarding process from offer acceptance through functional integration
1. Communicate with job candidates and hiring supervisors regarding background check process as well the onboarding process
2. Initiates compilation of new hire paperwork for faculty and staff
3. Serve as the focal point of introduction, orientation, and integration for staff joining the University
4. Coordinate and assist with New Employee Orientation on a monthly basis
5. Coordinate and assist with the HR segment of New Faculty Orientation on an annual basis
6. Maintain the Service Award system
7. Maintain the university’s organizational chart

C. Maintain performance management system
1. Maintain performance management system by communicating with supervisors and employees when reviews are due
2. Process reviews as they are received in HR

D. Administer the exiting process
1. Create an effective process to exit employees from ACU
2. Conduct exit interviews
3. Analyze and respond to trends noted in the exiting process

1. Computer proficiency and technical ability to utilize Microsoft products and Banner
2. Excellent oral & written communication
3. Ability to multitask
4. Detail oriented

Qualifications

A. Professional
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Bachelor’s degree preferred, with preference given to Human Resources or a related.
3. Two to three years’ professional experience, preferably in a Human Resources department.
4. Maintain an attitude and philosophy consistent with ACU’s mission and vision and the values of the HR Team.
5. Proven ability to relate well with colleagues, superiors, and other individuals inside and outside of the university and to maintain constructive working relationships.

Physical Demands A. Ability to sit and work on computer for extended periods of time.
B. Travel as needed to satellite campus or to attend a training/conference.
C. Ability to work irregular hours during events
D. Occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs.
